12 Tags of Christmas 2008 - The Final Three ...

And here they are .....I love how the grungeboard reindeer turned out. I didn't have any Perfect Pearls so used Twinkling H20s instead. I also didn't have a chipboard clock and mask, so I made my own with a BLine Designs stamp, Tick Tock. I stamped it on plain grungeboard and went to town with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Inks, Tim's Scratches stamp and a knife. (and I still have all my fingers - lol). I then stamped the clock again onto acetate and did the thing with the game spinners and sprocket gears.
Off to my daughter's now for roast pork and will be back later to start the 2007 Twelve, so see you later ...
Hope you like them ....

Thank God It's Friday .... Hats

On a bit of a roll now. This week's Challenge over at TGIF (gosh it's been such a long time) is Hats.
I got out virtually every stamp I have which has a hat on (bit silly really seeing as I have just tidied up - lol) and chose a few to make a collage type card. The stamps are from Oxford Impressions, Time to Stamp, B Line Designs and Tanda Stamps. So ... if you want to get ahead and get noticed - get a Hat .....

Wednesday Stamper - Transparent Art ...

Another new Challenge site for me is Wednesday Stamper where this week's theme is Transparent Art. I decided to do a Slide Mailer. I used to do quite a few of these, so much so that two or three years ago all my 'special' Christmas cards were Slide Mailers!!!
The Mailer is sponged all over with Versamagic Eggplant and Malted Mauve inks. The image on the front is Martha from the B Line Designs stamp range. She is stamped in royal purple Stazon. The front is completed with Rhonna Farrer Swirls V2, stamped in gold.

The inside of the Mailer is stamped with a background text stamp from A Stamp in the Hand and then another B Line Designs stamp, Hat Pins. (I am a bit annoyed with myself here because the stamp was just about a centimetre away from the surface, when the phone rang and made me jump - lol. So it's gone a bit crooked!! The ladies are images from Crafty Individuals and the slides are bound with copper tape.
I hope you like it ...

Thank God It's Friday .... Numbers

The TGIF Challenge this week is Numbers ... so while the Tags were out, I made another one ...
The Tag was sponged with Versamagic Eggplant and Malted Mauve. The images are the Hampton Arts Bingo Card, I've Got Your Number from The Queens Dresser Drawers and Tick Tock from B Line Designs. The two lines of numbers are from Paper Artsy.
Hope you like it ....

Theme Thursday .... Tags

Gosh - there's a Challenge (and if the truth were known more than one) for every day of the week. I found Theme Thursday while I was looking for something completely different but c'est la vie .....it all adds to the excitement ....This large Tag was made for my first ever Challenge entry back in the mists of time in June this year and I thought I would revive it !! For anyone who missed it this is what I wrote - " ... coloured with Shabby Shutters Distress ink and then stamped all over with the Stampendous Marble Texture Cube in gold The check pattern is B-Lines Checker Board stamped in Olive Green Staz-On. The main image is Classmates by B-Lines, stamped on glossy card and then dabbed with Lettuce and Butterscotch Alcohol Inks, with just a touch of Stream; and mounted on black glossy card. A 7-Gypsies Friends tab is at the top of the image and a pink flower and black ric-rac was added to finish it off".
Hope you like it - again .......

Thank God It's Friday Challenge .... Keys

This is my entry to this week's TGIF challenge ....

The background is sprayed with Butterscotch, Lettuce and Wild Plum Adirondack Colour Washes (as was everything else around, including me - lol!) and then dabbed with scrunched up tissue.
The Key image is The Key to Love by B Line Designs and is stamped and then embossed on metal using Ten Seconds Studio tools. The metal was then coloured with Lettuce and Wild Plum Adirondack Pens and blended with my free blending applicator! The inspiration for this element of the project came from Linda Brown at LB Crafts, who is stunning to watch demonstrate - I could watch for hours .....
The House image is from Paper Artsy's Squiggly Ink Bricks and Mortar 1. Door Key is from The Artistic Stamper Time and Keys plate.
Hope you like it ....
