A Crafting Disaster ... Well Almost ....

But as in all the best films, all was not lost and the day was won ....
Some of you may have looked at the slideshow (it's gone now) showing photos of part of the Learn Something New Every Day project by Shimelle, that I have been working on during September. You prepared a page each day (I did - honest - lol) following a series of daily prompts about the things that happened to you (or not) and the lessons you learnt.Anyways, I caught up on the last week and finished the last page this afternoon. I had always had the idea that I would bind all the pages together with my Bind It All, using the largest wires that Zutter do but I have to confess I was a little bit doubful because the pages were extremely thick.
I went off to give it some more thought and have my tea - smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with melon to follow, always good thinking food - lol. After my feast I felt a bit more confident, so I cleared the decks, punched the first page, then the second, then the third and I couldn't believe it - I had punched the wrong edge of the third page !!!!
The air was a rather fetching shade of blue but I desisted from throwing it across the room as I usually do (after all a lot of work had gone into this). So I went and had a large bowl of ice cream - purely for medicinal purposes you understand, came back, set to with a craft knife, made each page a different size and put them all on a book ring. Not a particularly good photo but I feel a whole heap better for writing this down and - I quite like the book in its new form. Just the covers to do now ......

Well your book looks great. I was really nervous when punching all my pages as I remember making a similar mistake with my Xmas Journal.
