I still have the Knitting Bug and recently I seem to spend most of my time with a pair of needles in my hands. The current project is a Sampler Blanket - Cream on Cream - from The Knitter magazine. There's loads of different stitches, embroidery and crochet in the piece, to the extent where I've sat with a laptop on my knees to see how some of the stitches are done, courtesy of YouTube - lol. Here are the first three squares ....
Each one measures about 12" x 12" and the majority have some form of embellishments. In this case - trees ...
It took me ages to work out how to put fringing in the middle of a piece of knitting rather than at the edges - lol ....
The heart on this one caused a bit of angst - and I'm still not 100% happy with it, but I'm sure when it's all pressed it will be OK ....
There are nine more squares to go - six are already knitted but I've still got to knit or sew the embellishments. Making an I-cord features a lot from square four onwards. You're supposed to do that on a set of double pointed needles but I had a brainwave and used a French Knitting Dolly ...
