More Wedding Stuff ...

Now that The Invitations have all been made, sent out and responded to (well, all bar one - my brother and his family - what are they like - even I've handed in my Menu Choices - lol) - the next task is Bridesmaids, Best Man and Ushers.
As with any Wedding the cost is mounting up and all significant people listed above are grown ups - so we came up with the idea of Bridesmaids, Best Man and Usher's Survival Kits, as a token gift.  All significant children will receive a lucky sixpence - note to self must buy a bottle of coke - lol.
Anyways, I digress - hours (well almost - lol) were spent researching on the internet and we came up with a final list.  Then with far too much time spent messing around with fonts and font sizes, we came up with the right size and ultimately this .....
Terrible photo - sorry.  Attention was then focused on what to put all the bits of the Survival Kits in.  Organza bags had been purchased - pink for the girlies and blue for the chaps but they were two different sizes and there wasn't one for the Best Man - ooops!
More hours spent on the internet and yours truly found a lovely site selling all sorts of packaging - so an order will be placed later today for twisted rope handle ribbed kraft bags in white and kraft colour - in two different sizes for selection purposes (the rest will come in handy at a later date, no doubt); more organza bags, this time in a totally different colour - one colour for everyone; and some rather nice jute bags for me, which I thought would be good for Christmas pressie giving.
My idea is that said organza bag goes into a twisted rope handle ribbed bag (white or kraft, I really don't care at the moment which) and said kraft bag is decorated nicely.
Holding on to that thought (and no 1 daughter had better not have a hissy fit and say no ...) I started with the decorations - and here's where I am so far .....
Another bad photo (looks better if you click on it) - but these flowers were made from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die out of some of the pink papers from his Vintage Shabby Paper Stash (two and a half sheets - excellent I thought).  I'm very impressed with these - even if I say so myself!  I have the idea that there will be two flowers per decoration with a couple of leaves and a flourish, with the framed jobby hanging from it.  The boys bags will have either the Umbrella Man or Old Jalopy (or both - now there's a thought - lol) die cut from ribbed kraft card with a flourish or two.
To be fair - I've loads of ideas buzzing around - but it all hinges on the choice of bags .......
Anyways - off for a coffee and more play time - don't you just love a long weekend .....
